I love to host, and I typically have guests over at least once a week, which is why I volunteered my house for six out of the eight nights of Hanukkah. Or maybe it was because I wasn’t thinking straight and am now wholeheartedly regretting my decision. I guess we’ll never know.
As someone who hosts regularly and runs a supper club, I’ve learned a thing or two about hosting, planning, and preparing for a seamless, stress-free dinner party. And while my house might smell like latkes for the next eight months, with my eight-step plan, I’ll be able to pull it off and enjoy myself.
1.
Make a list and check it twice.
3.
Do some prep work ahead of time.
4.
Delegate (if you want to).
5.
Set the stage, aka, set the table, and bring out your serving pieces the night before.
6.
Keep your space tidy…enough.
7.
Find a killer playlist, or ask someone else to.
8.
Embrace imperfection and have fun.
